چکیده

This research was conducted to evaluate the disease tolerance/resistance of 34 registered chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) varieties in nurseries under winter climatic conditions Eastern-Mediterranean region located at Eastern Mediterranean Research Institute, Adana. During 2014-2015 sowing season, four different for 4 path types were established with regular observations on tolerance varieties. In trials, evaluated and compared Ascochyta blight sensitive control variety ‘Canitez’. this study, artificially inoculated Adana location which includes pathotypes that identified Turkish legume plantation areas. The performed day 7, 14 21 based 1-9 scale identify suitability regional also conditions. From by artificial inoculation pathotypes, lowest scores obtained from applications Pathotype 1 while highest recorded 4.

rabiei, the causal agent of Ascochyta blight of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), and toxin production-by the wild type

Ascochyta rabiei is the causal agent of blight of chickpea, an important food legume crop for human populations in Developing Countries. All reliably identified isolates of the fungus produce toxins in culture, known as the solanapyrones, of which solanapyrone A is the most frequently found and also the most toxic. The principal aim of the project was to determine the role of this toxin in the ...

GENETIC DIVERGENCE IN CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.)

Genetic diversity of 27 chickpea genotypes was studied through Mahalanobis D and Principal Component analysis. The genotypes under study fall into five clusters. The cluster II contained the highest number of genotypes (11) and Cluster I contained the lowest. Cluster I produced the highest mean value for number of pods per plant. The inter cluster distances were much higher than the intra clust...

Prioritization of candidate genes in “QTL-hotspot” region for drought tolerance in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

A combination of two approaches, namely QTL analysis and gene enrichment analysis were used to identify candidate genes in the "QTL-hotspot" region for drought tolerance present on the Ca4 pseudomolecule in chickpea. In the first approach, a high-density bin map was developed using 53,223 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) identified in the recombinant inbred line (RIL) population of ICC 49...

Dissecting the Root Nodule Transcriptome of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

A hallmark trait of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), like other legumes, is the capability to convert atmospheric nitrogen (N2) into ammonia (NH3) in symbiotic association with Mesorhizobium ciceri. However, the complexity of molecular networks associated with the dynamics of nodule development in chickpea need to be analyzed in depth. Hence, in order to gain insights into the chickpea nodule dev...
